פְּלַס

פְּלַס(cmp. פָּלַש I) to split, pick to pieces. B. Kam.19b ההוא חמרא … ופַלְסֵיה לסלא an ass ate (a neighbors) bread and picked the basket to pieces. Ib. אכיל והדר פָּלֵיס he eats first and then picks to pieces. Pa. פַּלֵּיס same. Ib. אורחיה נמי לפַלּוּסֵי סלא it is also his habit to demolish a basket.
